The first rule of Funko Pop Fight Club is you must collect the entire vinyl set. Given that the release is very small, this is not too difficult to achieve.
Based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel, Fight Club (1999) is a cult-classic film from David Fincher. It stars Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden and Edward Norton as the Narrator. These are the only figures in the initial lineup officially announced at New York Toy Fair 2020.
While tracking down two figures is hardly a challenge for most Pop! collectors, there is an added wrinkle in the form of a chase variant.
The main figure shows Tyler Durden in his classic shades and red leather jacket holding the now-iconic pink soap. Joining him, the Narrator is dressed for his weekly support groups, wearing a "My Name is Rupert" nametag and grasping a cup of coffee. He also comes with his power animal, which is a small penguin.
Ed Norton's more buttoned-up Narrator is the chase variant to the figure for Brad Pitt. This means that the Narrator figure should replace one Durden figure in each case. While chase figures are tougher to track down, if you are lucky they can be found for the same price as the common figure in retail stores, or marked-up online.
The plot revolves mostly around Durden and the Narrator, but it is somewhat surprising that nothing has been mentioned for Helena Bonham Carter as Marla Singer. Hopefully, there is a future figure for Robert Paulson (Meatloaf), as well.
Funko also issued ReAction Fight Club figures in 2015, which feature a retro action figure style.
