Chris Kreider Rookie Cards Checklist and Guide
Thanks to the labor dispute that threatened the 2012-13 NHL season, hockey card collectors have been thrown for a bit of a loop. Because of the sport's strict rules for rookie card eligibility, much of the year's first-year card crop was underwhelming in early products. Chris Kreider rookie cards are one of the notable exceptions. The New York Rangers standout has the potential to be a superstar on Broadway for years to come.
The American-born forward is a homegrown talent for the big-market Rangers. Kreider made his debut during the 2012 postseason, netting five goals and adding a pair of assists in 18 games. His international experience includes a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in 2010. During the tournament, Kreider scored six goals in seven games.
Kreider was drafted by the Rangers with the 19th pick in the 2009 NHL Draft.
