Bubba Watson Partners with eBay to Raise Money for Charity
Bubba Watson, who has emerged as one of golf's most popular personalities, is teaming with eBay to help raise money and awareness for several charities.
Under the partnership, Watson gets his own eBay Celebrity page. Visitors can donate money directly to his causes, currently Ronald McDonald House at Stanford. They can find items where sellers have offered to donate proceeds to the same charities. One of the more interesting parts of the Bubba Watson eBay celebrity page is that it shows some of the things he personally shops for on the site. A collector himself, Watson hunts for vintage sneakers and Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia.Watson owns one of the original General Lee cars used in the show. It was the one shown in the opening credits jumping the police car.
Of course, Bubba Watson collectors can also use the page as a hub to find items connected to the 2012 Masters champ.
Watson's charitable efforts don't stop with eBay. Bubba & Friends Drive to a Million works with several charities in hopes of raising $1 million. The initiative is currently about a quarter of the way there.
Other athletes with eBay Celebrity pages include Kobe Bryant, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Troy Polamalu and Cole Hamels.
