Killer Cards: Dexter Autograph Trading Cards Guide

Killer Cards: Dexter Autograph Trading Cards Guide

Seasons 1 & 2

Dexter may not be going out with the excitement it generated during its early seasons, but few will argue that it's one of the most talked-about shows in recent history. For collectors, there are plenty of Dexter autographs to collect via Breygent trading cards. Nearly all of the show's main actors have signed cards, including several from Dexter Morgan himself, Michael C. Hall.

So far, Breygent has put out three full releases, all of which have autographed trading cards as a key component. There have also been a handful of exclusives available at the San Diego Comic Con.

2009 Breygent Dexter trading cards cover seasons one and two. This set has the most Dexter autographs with a checklist that includes 11 cards. 2010 Breygent Dexter Season 3 added dual autographs and autographed costume cards to the mix. Moving towards a premium factory set format, 2012 Breygent Dexter Season 4 has just four autographs.

Besides Hall, other lead cast members signing at least once include Jennifer Carpenter (Debra Morgan), Julie Benz (Rita Bennett) and Lauren Vélez (Lt. Maria LaGuerta). Breygent is the only company to land autographed cards from both John Lithgow (Arthur "Trinity Killer" Mitchell) and Jimmy Smits (Miguel Prado).

One thing to watch for, particularly with Season 3 cards, is beaded ink. The markers and card stock didn't get along on many of the cards, making for some very poor autographs.

We've put together a full gallery of Dexter autographs from all three of Breygent's main Dexter sets released so far as well as those offered at the 2010 and 2012 San Diego Comic Cons. Seasons 1 and 2 are below. Other seasons can be seen by clicking on the tabs above.
