2023 Topps Chrome MVP Buyback Promotion Guide
Returning for a second season, the 2023 Topps Chrome MVP Buyback promotion again grants collectors store credit at their local Hobby shop in exchange for base cards and parallels of the to-be-determined 2023 most valuable players.
The program officially begins in November after the 2023 MLB MVPs have been announced for the American League and National League.
2023 Topps Chrome MVP Buyback Promotion Details
Similar to the 2022 program, the 2023 Topps Chrome MVP Buyback promotion highlights the top two players for the regular season.
Because Topps revealed the 2023 MVP Buyback edition well in advance, collectors have ample time to start thinking about which cards to set aside.
Once the cards are acquired and the MVPs are announced, simply visit a participating card store. Each redeemed base card earns at least $20 in store credit, with more credit available for Refractors. The cards don't have to be in mint condition.
2023 Topps Chrome MVP Buyback Promotion Values
Issued as store credit.
- Base Chrome/Logofractor or Base Chrome Image Variation - $20
- Base Refractor or Non-#'d Refractors - $40
- Refractor (#'d to more than 100 copies) - $100
- Refractor (#'d to less than 100 copies) - $200
While there is no set limit for the maximum number of cards redeemed per person, shops can make the final decision.
To be clear, the only cards eligible for the 2023 Topps Chrome MVP Buyback promotion are the base cards and base parallels of the 2023 MVPs.
Of course, there are many Chrome MLB sets each year so Topps clarified that the applicable products this time are 2023 Topps Chrome Baseball and 2023 Topps Chrome Logofractor Edition Baseball.

The card maker also made it known that a select number of the 2022 buybacks were stamped and inserted into 2023 Topps Chrome Baseball. If Aaron Judge or Paul Goldschmidt repeat as MVP, something "big" could be in the mix for anyone that pulls the stamped '22 cards. On top of that, 22 copies carry the added signature of Judge or Goldschmidt.

That’s just a guess for who might win MVP. You should save any players you think could win. The exact players for the buyback program won’t be confirmed until the AL/NL MVP awards are announced. The product officially releases tomorrow, July 26. New releases show up early quite often.
