The early-season release offers rookie redemptions and new inserts to collect.
Joining the Hobby format are several Retail options, including Blasters, Fat Packs, Retail Display boxes and Gravity Feed boxes.

2023-24 Upper Deck MVP Hockey Base / Parallels
The base set for 2023-24 Upper Deck MVP Hockey totals 250 cards with the final 50 cards being part of the SPs & Rookies subset.
Averaging one card per pack, Ice Battles switches out the stats and bio on the back for a Pack Wars game.
Other parallels include Silver Script, Super Script (#/25) and Black Super Script (#/5). These Script editions each add a facsimile signature.
Falling at a rate of 1:400 packs, the Magenta Autograph edition is only for select names in the SPs & Rookies subset.

MVP is borderline junk wax at this point. The product is dirt cheap compared to other releases, but pulling anything meaningful is a monumental achievement. I get that MVP is an entry-level product, but even Score Hockey (Hobby version) wasn’t this bad, and that product was much cheaper.
The colors and contours cards are the best part of the product, but you aren’t even guaranteed one. I do recall in 2016-17 that you got at least three or four, although they weren’t numbered.
For any new collectors, the Upper deck series, 1, 2, and extended series is the best entry-level product, even at the retail level.
