2022 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Base / Variations
Building on the 2022 Topps Heritage checklist, 2022 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball adds 200 cards (#501-700) led by veterans in new places and call-up rookies. There are also 25 short prints (#701-725). Of course, the primary design remains 1973 Topps Baseball.
In addition to Hobby-only Black Bordered (50 copies) and Flip Stock (five copies) parallels, look for the Mini and Chrome editions, which each cover 50 players from the base set.
Despite appearing as Chrome editions in the main 2022 Heritage set, the base cards for Trea Turner, Trey Mancini and Ryan Mountcastle are issued in High Number.

I’m an old-timer. I bought my first packs of cards in 1961. I’m set in my ways. But I love Heritage, because it brings back my youth.
That said, do people really like all the silly insert cards that clog up most packs? New Age Performers, Flashbacks, Chrome cards, Black Borders, and especially, the so-called relics?
In my opinion, these things are of no value to my collection. I would like nine cards in a pack, and none of the fillers.
Am I alone in this?
