In 2021-22 Upper Deck Synergy Hockey, the 125-card base set is extremely limited. Beyond the 60 base cards, numbered to 12, there are Legends (#/12; #61-75), Rookies (#/22; #76-115) and Rookies SP (#/22; #116-125) subsets.

Falling eight per box, the Red parallel ties into the UD Bounty program. Roughly half of these cards feature a scratch-off bounty code.

On top of that, many of the rare Purple parallels add a signature.

The Exceptional insert line, each numbered to 899 copies, takes a three-pronged approach to acetate via Futures, for rookies, Phenoms, for key non-rookies that are 25 or younger, and Stars. These have multiple new parallels.
