The retro-inspired MLB card brand already has a lot going on but the 2019 Topps Archives Baseball variations add one more element to the nostalgic set.
There are a total of 10 image variations spread across the 2019 Topps Archives Baseball checklist. Collectors can find a few names from each base subset design, including a rookie photo variation for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on the 1958 design and an image swap for Babe Ruth on the 1993 design.
Falling 1:207 packs for Hobby, these are fairly difficult to uncover. Put another way, that works out to about one SSP variation in every nine boxes.
2019 Topps Archives Baseball Variation Codes
The image makes it easy to notice the difference, but there are 2019 Topps Archives Baseball variation codes to note, as well.
Refer to the CMP Code on the back of the card that is listed in small text near the player's stats. Although each design has a different base code, the variation codes are all the same.

2019 Topps Archives Baseball Subset Parallels
Another aspect of 2019 Topps Archives Baseball is the base subset parallel that applies to all 100 cards falling under the same design.
These combine to average 1:207 packs, which is the same Hobby pack odds as the image variations.
1975 Topps Signature Omission (#101-200)
Basically a planned error, the Signature Omission cards remove the facsimile autograph from the front of the card.
1993 Topps Gold Parallels (#201-300)
For the 1993 cards, collectors can hunt for the Topps Gold editions that add gold foil to the card.
At this point, we have not seen anything for the 1958 subset and nothing was listed on the pack odds.
