With 2019 Bowman Next Topps Now Baseball, collectors no longer have to wait for MLB debuts to get the earliest print-to-order card options. The new offshoot of the online-only set features the stars of the Arizona Fall League (AFL).
The six-team league offers some of the top prospects in the game as they showcase their skills. The off-season league runs from mid-September until late-October.
2019 Bowman Next Topps Now Baseball Set Details
Similar to the primary Topps Now line, 2019 Bowman Next Topps Now Baseball highlights top moments from recent games. These cards are sold directly by Topps for 24 hours and then are no longer available.
The individual cards are priced at $9.99 apiece. Some releases also offer accompanying autograph versions with specific print runs and a much higher price.
In addition to the obvious design differences from the base Now set, the 2019 Bowman Next Topps Now Baseball checklist starts fresh from card #1.
There are also AFL team sets with limited autograph editions on sale for nearly the entire season.
Starting in November, Topps released a daily set featuring the Top 20 MLB prospects. These display pro affiliations rather than the AFL teams. Several of these have signed versions, as well.
