2019-20 SPx Hockey remains a key Upper Deck NHL option for lively designs and multiple card technologies. Each four-card Hobby box contains at least one autograph and one relic. These is a chance for a third hit or a second base card/insert.

Collectors can find 2019-20 UD Black Hockey cards in SPx, which was also the case for the 2018-19 product.

In 2019-20 SPx Hockey, the non-hits are part of the Technology/Tech lineup. The 100-card base set offers veterans and rookies, with each card numbered to 349.

Shadow Box inserts are an option for rookies (1:20) and veterans (1:60), as well.

2019-20 SPx Hockey Autographs

Every Hobby box contains one autograph, one relic and one non-hit base card or insert. The fourth pull per box is a "Wild Card" that can be from any of the three groups.

As expected, the signed cards in the 2019-20 SPx Hockey checklist take the base lineup up a notch. The base autograph selection includes Auto (1:20), Premium Materials Auto (#/49, #/25 or #/5) and Logo Premium Materials Auto (1/1) editions.

Base rookies are also treated to Auto (#/299, #/149 or #/49), Premium Materials Auto (#/35) and Logo Premium Materials Auto (1/1) versions.

In addition, the Shadow Box Autograph cards can be found signed by rookie (#/150 or #/75) and veteran (#/99, #/49 or #/25) stars. These cards use Spectrum Light FX technology plus an acetate top sheet.

Similarly, the Super Script Autograph line is extended to veterans (1:16) and rookies (1:120). There is a low-numbered Gold Spectrum parallel to chase for these cards.

Wrapping up the signed choices for SPx, nostalgic fans can check out the 2009-10 Retro Rookies Auto Jersey (#/99 or #/35) and Auto Patch (#/25 or #/10) cards.

2019-20 SPx Hockey Relics

Like the autographs, 2019-20 SPx Hockey memorabilia cards enhance the base set via Materials (#/299) and Rookies Materials (#/399).

Other relic sets include Extravagant Materials (1:30) and Premium Materials parallels, as well as the 15-card Double XL Materials (#/149 or #/99). The XL Duos editions are multi-player cards that can be found as Premium Materials (#/10 or #/5).

2019-20 UD Black Hockey

Finally, UD Black returns as a set-within-a-set insert in 2019-20 SPx Hockey. The base Obsidian Rookies cards are numbered to 299 with a Purple parallel limited to 99 copies. These are counted with the "Tech" cards that combine to fall one per box.

Autographs include Obsidian Scripts (1:50) and Obsidian Scripts Rookies (1:60) with numbered Purple parallels.

Limited to 125 or 75 copies, young talent fills out the Lustrous Rookies Auto Patch line. Contrasting the black version is the short-printed Clarity variant (#/25) in white.

According to Upper Deck, the Pride of Nation manufactured flag patch cards are "back by popular demand." The set features a base Patch (#/99), along with Auto Patch (#/99 or #/25) and Rookie Auto Patch (#/99 or #/49) cards.

The 2019-20 UD Black Hockey checklist also supplies Obsidian Jersey (1:30) and Obsidian Rookies Jersey (1:24) cards with numbered Purple Patch parallels.
