Product Details
Breaking in the new season, the 2018-19 Imports Dragon NHL hockey figures cover some of the top stars with six-inch likenesses.
Vegas Golden Knights fans are in luck with options for Jonathan Marchessault and Marc-Andre Fleury. NHL collectors can also find new choices for superstars Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid, plus the figure debut for 2017-18 rookie Brock Boeser.
Now in the fourth year of releases, the 2018-19 Imports Dragon NHL figures aim to carry on the legacy of the detailed sports collectible style associated with the McFarlane brand.
Most '18-19 options have listed production of 2,850 total figures. However, Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews each see the print runs rise to 4,850 figures, while Jonathan Marchessault has 3,600 and Shea Weber has 3,450. There are also several larger figures of the 12" variety.

As much as a want to like the Imports Dragon line I just cant get past the look of the figurines. The faces of the figurines are more like caricatures of the players they represent and lack that fine detail of the McFarlane line. I also do not like the shininess of the figurines as it makes them look glassy almost porcelain like. The measurements also just look a little off as again that fine detail just seems to be missing from this line.
These are simply poorly done. Not sure what the quality standards are on these figures as they look cheaply made and with very little attention to detail. I actually thought this was a joke product at first but no…yipes! Can you say quick cash grab? Disappointed with this product line through and through. Will definitely not buy or recommend this import. Maybe a star rating was too generous.
I was hoping that perhaps, with a couple of seasons under their belts, Imports Dragon might improve the quality of their figures. Sadly, they look as cheap and cartoon-like as ever. Nope, I’ll be skipping their MLB and NHL product–again. It is sad when bobbleheads have more realistic facial detail than these supposedly “realistic” figures.
