The 2017 Imports Dragon MLB Baseball Figures set ushers in year two of their new Major League Baseball product with seasoned veterans, young studs and budding superstars.
The officially licensed figures replace the long-running McFarlane MLB brand with a fresh take on the sport. Building on the 2016 lineup, the 2017 Imports Dragon MLB Baseball Figures checklist features notable players from around the league.
Standout vets include Clayton Kershaw and Buster Posey, while Mookie Betts and Bryce Harper provide some of the superstar power to the release. Also honoring some of the top 2016 rookies, Corey Seager and Trevor Story are both showcased. Rookie star Aaron Judge is a late addition to the 2017 Imports Dragon MLB checklist.
In addition, several of the biggest names have limited-edition variants that change the jersey color. This includes Mookie Betts and the 2016 AL MVP figure for Trout, each limited to 2,004 figures and exclusive to GTS Distribution, which means that multiple retailers should have it. There are also 2016 World Series Champions editions for Cubs players Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo.
Standing approximately 6" tall, the detailed 2017 Imports Dragon MLB Baseball figures come with a custom stand and a fixed position ideal for display. Hitters also have a separate bat accessory that can be secured in the subject's hands.

I stopped buying sport figures once Imports Dragon got the NHL and MLB licenses from McFarlane. The figures simply lack the detail of McFarlane figures and are way too shiny and plastic looking. I also don’t like that the figures also cost more than McFarlane’s did. Look the McFarlane SportPicks line was far from perfect but it was miles ahead of Imports Dragon.
I collected McFarlane figures, which I thought were well made, and had enough detail for the price. The Dragon figures appear poorly made, over-priced, and look nothing like the players. What a letdown.
The Mcfarlane figures where way better than these. Better likeness, quality, and price. And whats up with the shinny uniforms and strange eyes???
