After their debut mystery release in 2016, the blind-box format returns with 2017 Fanatics Authentic Under Wraps NXT LVL. Officially licensed by MLBPA and Major League Baseball, the follow-up again promises an autographed baseball in every box, but this time with a more premium format.
Resembling 2016 Fanatics Authentic Under Wraps, the checklist is divided into several levels, each with different pull rates. Featuring signatures from a mix of stars, the Debut Level (1:2 boxes) has the most options in 2017 Fanatics Authentic Under Wraps NXT LVL, and is the most common. Legendary Level (1:5 boxes) gives collectors an opportunity to find a dual autograph or multi-inscribed ball. This includes a team-signed baseball from the 2016 Chicago Cubs.
Those seeking more than a signature have a chance with Premier Level (1:8 boxes), which showcases added inscriptions for 29 players. Additionally, Mint Level (1:13 boxes) offers signatures on gold-plated leather by eight different ballplayers. Easily the toughest pulls, collectors of in-game memorabilia have five game-used autographed baseball options thanks to the Game Day Level (1:200 boxes).
On top of all that, every 2017 Fanatics Authentic Under Wraps NXT LVL box includes an entry for the Grand Prize. Make sure you hold onto the card and check the results for the drawing on April 30, 2018. I feel that some of these names should not be included.
Who wants to spend $150.00 for a signed baseball by someone like David Dahl that sells for less than $20.00.
I own a successful Sports card store in Phoenix, AZ. When most customers are looking to by a new product, They first check on E-Bay to see if things are selling at a good price, Then they make a decision, When I see a product such as this that comes with a wooden box, I feel the price point could be more reasonable if we didn’t pay for a wooden box that most people who collect do not care about or can display with the other items we may have. That the cost could be much lower and easy to sell. I will not be selling this item in my store. I have others that sell for the $75.00 range that do not sell. Sincerely
