Exclusive to the 2016 National Sports Collectors Convention, Upper Deck continues their promo tradition at the National with the 2016 Upper Deck National Wrapper Redemption. Packs can be obtained at the event based on select purchases and offer the chance at limited autographs.
While on the smaller side, the 2016 Upper Deck National Wrapper Redemption checklist covers several sports and features multiple signed cards. The base Prominent Cuts set features ten notable athletes from a wide mix that includes basketball, hockey and even swimming. Several of these also come as Autograph versions which are numbered to 50 or less plus a few additions that are not part of the base set.
Focusing on notable first-year players in the NHL, Top Shelf Rookies highlights ten key names from the 2015-16 draft class. Although the Top Shelf Rookies Autographs are a full parallel to the base set, three of the biggest names — McDavid, Larkin, Panarin — are only found in the Case Breaker Promotion. All ten signed cards are serial numbered to 100 or less.
Lastly, one-of-one Cut Signatures offer top legends no longer with us, including U.S. presidents.
2016 Upper Deck National Wrapper Redemption packs are obtained through 2015-16/2016 UD purchases at the event. Collectors will receive one pack based on each of the following purchases through a Certified Diamond Dealer:
- 10 packs of 2015-16 Upper Deck Series 2 OR O-Pee-Chee Platinum
- 5 packs of 2015-16 Contours, Ice, Champs, SP Authentic OR 2016 Goodwin Champions
- 3 packs of 2015-16 UD Black OR Ultimate Collection
The aforementioned Case Breakers promotion applies to select case purchases that yield ten 2016 Upper Deck National Wrapper Redemption packs and one special raffle ticket good for a premium item.
