Adding to the ever-growing Panini collegiate line, 2016 Panini Kentucky Wildcats Collegiate honors some of the greatest athletes to ever attend the storied university.

Each blaster box contains either one autograph or one memorabilia card. There are also Hobby boxes with two hits.

While the University of Kentucky is well-known for its athletic programs, UK and basketball are practically synonymous. The 2016 Panini Kentucky Wildcats Collegiate set reflects that, too. Big Blue Nation, as UK fans are known, along with NBA fans, will recognize many of the stars in the team set including first-round draft picks Rajon Rondo (2006) and the first overall selection in the 2012 NBA Draft, Anthony Davis.

Of course, many remember the record-setting 2010 NBA Draft as it was the first time five players from the same school were selected in the first round. Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, and John Wall represent that historic draft class. The product also features the 2015 class, with first overall pick Karl-Anthony Towns, as well as Devin Booker, and Willie Cauley-Stein. Other basketball standouts include Aaron Harrison, Nerlens Noel, and Archie Goodwin along with retired stars Jeff Sheppard and Jamaal Mashburn. Not as prominently featured, Wildcat football is represented with Bud Dupree and Jacob Tamme.

Parallels to the 50-card base set include Kentucky Silver, Kentucky Gold and Kentucky Black. Autographed base cards feature parallels numbered to #/99 or less, and Memorabilia cards are another possible hit.

Finally, the Honors insert recognizes All-Americans or athletes who have won the consensus national player of the year award. Collectors can also find holographic foil cards with the Honors Silver parallel.
