2016 Onyx Authenticated Platinum Elite Baseball Cards

Bought my first box of the year and naturally was not disappointed as I pulled 4 autos including a Brinson numbered 17/50 and a Dansby Swanson numbered 3/5!!!!! Awesome start to the year

Onyx has never been that expensive. Most of the time the boxes are $25 tops but after a couple weeks it’s relatively simple to get them cheaper. Personally I love Onyx and this product, one of my favorites every year. Cards looks awesome and this is a pretty good checklist with Swanson, Torres, Rogers, and Brinson.

Thanks Mike. I recognize that pre-release / post-release product information can change…. but a price drop of approximately $618.45 per box is a head scratcher.

Is it unreasonable of me to slap Onyx with a single star review…and were I able to move the decimal point and further diminish the review to something approximating “.25 Star Review,” rest assured…I would!
Let’s reframe a question I have seen posed here time and again; Is it unfair of a collector to accord a review… in this case just one slender star, to a/the product that has yet to go LIVE?
Actually, in this instance, I do believe a pre-pack out review IS warranted if only because of the obscene pre-release dollar figure of $660 for one box of 4 cards, only 2 of which are auto-mem’.

More outrageous than the MSRP, however, is the description, “Low to mid-end Baseball collector.” Are you kidding me?!? I’m NOT getting veteran players, I’m not getting autographed patch rookie cards, but I AM dropping “National Treasure” type dollars on a pimped-up Bowman brand?

Mark it down; Today is the day card manufacturers have selected as “National Mega-Rip-off Day!”
