Offering the newest installment of Pop! Football options, 2016 Funko Pop NFL Series 3 vinyl figures pick up with a fresh batch of gridiron talent. While there are familiar star names like JJ Watt, Odell Beckham, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, new choices include Cam Newton, Todd Gurley, Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell.

The 2016 Funko Pop NFL Series 3 release does a solid job of mixing young talent with seasoned veterans and even presents both sides of the ball with several defensive players. In addition to Watt, this includes Luke Kuechly, Richard Sherman and Super Bowl 50 MVP, Von Miller. On offense, other notable options include 2015 rookies Amari Cooper and Marcus Mariota alongside top quarterbacks like Derek Carr, Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck. Like most NFL releases, there is some love for the Dallas Cowboys with both Jason Witten and Dez Bryant included.

One thing that collectors will likely notice is that the removable helmets of previous releases have been taken out of the equation and each player has a more distinct look. This is accomplished with unique haircuts as well as baseball caps, headbands, beanies or even towels used as hoodies. There are also throwback uniform variants for many players at Toys R Us and GameStop.

A pair of 3-Pack exclusives add to the 2016 Funko Pop NFL Series 3 line with a trio of figures for the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers. The Patriots feature Tom Brady, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski in their 1985 throwbacks while the Panthers are represented by Cam Newton, Greg Olsen and Luke Kuechly in their Carolina Blue alternate uniform. Only found through BGV Toys and GTS Distribution, the figures debuted at the 2016 National Sports Collectors Convention.
