User Rating:

Let's get it out of the way - 2015 Topps Dynasty Baseball isn't for everyone. Price alone dictates that. It marks the second spin for the card maker's ultra-premium brand where every card is either an autographed patch, an autographed dual relic from a retired great or a cut signature. Prices of single-card boxes will be measured in hundreds of dollars. It's an elite-level product for those with an eye for the high-end of the hobby.

Every individual card in 2015 Topps Dynasty Baseball is numbered to 10 or less. Unless the signature is a cut, it's signed on-card. There are no sticker autographs in the product.

The design is similar to 2014 where player images are done in a single color. However, instead of the contrasting black background of the previous year, it's a more traditional white. Cards are done on specially coated stock and are embossed. They also come already in a holder.

Autographed Patch cards are hard-signed and have an over-sized patch similar in size to 2014 Topps Dynasty. Regular versions are numbered to 10. There are also parallels numbered to 5 and 1. Last year, there were only one-of-one parallels. And just because each individual card has a maximum of 16 copies including parallels, that doesn't mean that each player appears on only 16 cards over the course of the product run. Last year most players had several different cards.

A full list of 2015 Topps Dynasty Baseball autograph signers hasn't been released, but Ken Griffey Jr, Mike Trout, Sandy Koufax and Bryce Harper are among those slated for the release.

Autographed Dual Relics are home to baseball's all-time greats. Base versions are numbered to 5 with a one-of-one parallel.

One-of-one Cut Signatures and Cut Signature Dual Relics feature some of the game's biggest legends. Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Joe DiMaggio and Roberto Clemente are among those highlighted in the set.

Similar to 2015 Archives, Topps also revealed the product will include a Will Ferrell autographed patch. It is not known how many will be in the product, but it is safe to assume they will be very limited.

Noticed people are buying opening then resealing boxes with the S***** hits doubt topps cares

The cards are definitely 5 star. Cost per hit has to be the highest in the market but Topps isn’t a charity either. Always need to give respect to the risk-taking high end box breakers who lessen the cost barrier through ebay or COMC and allows us to buy at a more reasonable price.

So I pulled 2 redemptions for Maddux and Kershaw out of 4 boxes I opened, how do I know what I will get?

Does anyone know how many different posses each player has in this set? I understand they are numbered to 10, to 5, and 1 … but i have seen several posses fro each player.

Trey Treutel
Trey Treutel

Cleveland Fan Topps does not include that info in the checklist. I was looking at one of the Kris Bryant cards and it was number #AP-KB5 and I have seen at least five different poses for him.

Several of the Autos are smudged just like the Topps tribute release this year!

5 out of 7 Dynasty cards that I have are smudged autos…

Buyers Beware!!!

Do not buy this product. It is a guaranteed bloodbath. Most of these cards will sell for 20 to 50 percent of cost if that. Check out the sale prices. Almost no one will make money on this. Why would you want to buy something so expensive that virtually guarantees a huge loss? Stay away!

I’ve always liked this product but it is out of my price range, and out of curiosity what do you think a Kris Bryant 1/ 1 autograph rc card could go for on the market, thanks for the previews on these cards, love to look at though, why is this product so expensive?

Chris Borden
Chris Borden

Nearly $300 for ONE card with a chance at a Sonny Gray or an Anthony Rizzo? Really? Is this the best you can do, Toppd s? At this price, it should be limited to 50 retired stars only. Pass once again, especially with redemptions.

Does anyone know if they are printing multiple parallels of individual players? For example, last year they had 10 different Bryce Harper cards (100 total) even though he is only listed once in the checklist?

Sam
Sam

Glad to see the price is down a 100 from last year. The cards look awesome.

Bret

Just put my deposit on a preorder box. Yes this is expensive but the ROI on a % basis is decent and there are a number of high end cards. Last year I did great getting a Henderson redemption which turned out to be a 1/1 once fulfilled. That on top of the Polanco I hit in box. This product will beat the $65 I just wasted yesterday on a football topps chrome netting me a $2 junk auto.

Any idea when checklist will be out??

That bryant card is a total peach. Just started collecting cards and think I’m going to have to invest in dynasty this year.

Super expensive but they beat five star, museum, and tribute as far as looks and patches.

If it were $125 it would be worth the gamble, but $300-$400 a box. A big no thank you Topps.

Thanks Ryan, true but at this price point there should not be any lesser players in the product, again just my opinion. Especially since there are multiple pictures / cards of the same player. Mike Trout facing left, Mike Trout facing right, Mike Trout looking over his shoulder, Mike Trout looking straight ahead. 10 cards of each picture.

Ron Agreed.

Beautiful cards but beyond high risk. I have to wonder if I will have my 2014 Dynasty Greg Maddux redemption card redeemed and in my hands by the time the 2015 product is released? At this price point and only one card per pack in my opinion there should not be any redemptions.

Ryan Cracknell
Ryan Cracknell

From what I saw in breaks and heard from others, the redemptions in 2014 were extra cards, usually in packs that had lesser players. Personally, I never think redemptions are a good idea except for over-sized items that are already in house, but they were basically a bonus.
