Normally, collectors must wait until the hobby release to find out the unknown short print options, but due to the early availability of 2015 Topps Chrome Baseball retail, the limited cards started surfacing nearly two weeks ahead of hobby.
So far, in limited numbers, the theme appears to be celebratory images that run the gamut from outright jubilation to casual amusement.
While the image variations were not listed on the final 2015 Topps Chrome Baseball checklist, Topps has confirmed that there are ten total variations. This is a decrease from 2014, which had 25 different options.
Full odds are 1:766 retail packs, 1:765 hobby packs and 1:235 jumbo packs. There are also Red Refractor (1:39,522 retail/1:38,070 hobby/1:12,133 jumbo) and SuperFractor (1:158,088 retail/1:215,728 hobby/1:51,564 jumbo) parallels for each of the variations.
