2015 Panini Luxe Football Cards – Out Now

From a company that started out making playing cards for poker Etc, this set is pretty nice and the low production numbers make it very desirable for many. In the end, card collecting is just like gambling because scarcity of a certain player and if he should have a great career and make it to the hall of fame is what determines the value in the end. There are not that many players that make it to the hall of fame and that’s why there are not that many specific player cards that are worth a lot of money in the end. Luxe is a nice escape from super high end like national treasures, however every frame besides silver is scuffed and scratched, along with that workers did not take the time to properly insert cards into frames as there are finger nail indentations on almost all cards. Pulled a 1/1 Cutler and a 1/5 Cutler and both had identical nail marks in the corner from pushing into the frame. Scuffs all over the frame, looking like it was dragged across concrete. Called panini and they said it was not their issue and a replacement would not be honored. RPA patches are very boring and plain. Overall value for 4-5 cards at 200 a box is just not there. The checklist is great and that is the one thing I like. Everything else is less than impressive. I’ll stick to national treasures, that’s where the value is truly at

Hey Mike, I will tell you the difference. LUXE has sliver frames unlike National Treasures & LUXE is half the price. ALSO LUXE doesn’t have base booklets (puke) unlike Playbook. You could get a jersey booklet & base booklet in a Playbook box (what a joke!) unlike LUXE. I will definitely buy this when it comes out.

So is every product now considered high-end just because it’s $$$$. I guess the days of just spending $100 for a high-end box and getting something good are gone.

I’ll buy anyone a box of this if they can tell the difference between Luxe and National Treasures. Clearly Topps and Panini are just copying and pasting stuff together and then putting a huge price tag that only group breakers can buy.

Topps and Panini need to go bankrupt then maybe we’ll get a company that actually cares about producing something of value rather than flooding the market with the same junk and giving the individual collector a big middle finger as the suck the tit of group breakers.

If you put this product next to Immaculate, Playbook, and National Treasures you’ll wouldn’t be able to tell the difference at first glance. Just more of the same theory for Topps and Panini that collectors will buy any junk they produce and any price, just to get that fourth string TE that they assume collectors are in such demand for.
