2015 Panini Black Friday Trading Cards
Product Details
Not just for deals on electronics or clothing, Black Friday has emerged as an appealing option for collectors. In addition to big discounts, exclusive packs have come to typify the annual event. As in previous years, 2015 Panini Black Friday looks to be the biggest option in the hobby.
The 65-card base set includes 28 Rookie Cards, numbered to 599. There are also Collegiate Legends, Rated Rookies and the 22 cards in the photography-focused Panini Collection.
Always a strong choice for the hits found within the foil packs, autograph options include Kris Bryant, D'Angelo Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns, Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston. Covering pro basketball, memorabilia cards feature top rookie players with sets like NBA Materials that offer player-worn head-band swatches.
Other themed inserts include Salute to Service Relics with a military concept, Breast Cancer Awareness with a pink color scheme and Happy Holidays that tap into the seasonal spirit.
The format is similar to the 2014 release that also added a mix of parallels for each set, including Cracked Ice and Lava Flow. Also similar to last year, the production is set at 40,000 packs.
The limited 2015 Panini Black Friday packs are available at hobby shops that participate in the Panini Roundtable program in exchange for buying select boxes or spending specific amounts. They are also found through Panini's online store with certain 2015 and 2015-16 product purchases starting on November 23. Further details will be provided as they are revealed.
Estimated Release Date: 11/27/2015

Fred
@ Mike and Matt- you are both right! This product is better than many products out there, and it is easy to tell which ones have “hits” especially the material cards. The sad thing to me is that Panini doesn’t regulate how the product is distributed to customers. This can vary from dealer to dealer. Some you have to spend a certain amount of money. Others you need to buy a certain product, usually old releases that’s dead already, never a hot product that sells regardless. Some give you a mix of packs, others give you only the skinny ones and keep the fat ones for themselves. I wonder how many of these cards on ebay are being sold by shop owners?! I don’t know why Panini doesn’t do more wrapper redemptions for these promotional products. For example, we collect wrappers starting at the beginning of the year, and send them in to get these packs sent to us directly on Black Friday! Say 20 wrappers per pack. . . The one thing that has always frustrated the average collector like me, who by the way spends thousands of dollars on product each year, is the backdoor dealings by dealers and companies. Companies only take care of the dealers, never the customers. That’s why many card dealers have the same reputations as used car salesmen!
