Coming on the heels of Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica was going to be huge. And while popular, things didn't work out quite like the network suits had hoped. But time, and a reboot that was arguably better, has given the Science Fiction franchise a new lease on life (and licensing). The initial assortment of 2015 Funko Pop Battlestar Galactica vinyl figures features some of the most iconic characters from the original series with newer figures coming in the subsequent release.
With just four main figures, this initial group is relatively small. The first three are some of the leaders aboard the Galactica: Commander Adama (played by Lorne Greene), Captain Apollo (Richard Hatch) and Lt. Starbuck (Dirk Benedict). Joining them is one of the most intimidating robot in television history, a Cylon Centurion. There are also several exclusives that build on that number.
Wave two pushes into the current with three more figures, including updated versions for Starbuck, now a female character, and the new Cylon Centurian.
The 3 3/4 inch figures are numbered as part of Funko's Pop! Television line.
