I paid $35.00 for a box of this to try and in the first pack got a connor mcdavid patch card numbered 11/15

Terrible design and terrible value. Wouldnt surprise me if these started to pop up at Walmart in the future

Meh… picked up a box on a big discount today and not very impressed with this product. 2 rookie signatures of guys I have never heard of, so I guess this is the product where the dump them. Only good card out of this was a Fabbri patch out of /75. I highly recommend spending your money elsewhere!

This is exactly what you dont want from a $100 box. Low amount of cards, ugly design, bad checklist, and low end hits. If you bought a 16 box case, you’d probably get around enough $ back to buy 5 boxes. Highly recommend not buying

Possibly one of the worst sets of all time value wise. Youll be lucky to get your $ back. The only way to do that is to hit McDavid RJA or a RPA of a big name rookie

Bought 1 pack to try out. Pulled a sick and I mean sick fabbri jersey auto redemption. I’ve opened roughly 10 boxes of ud products this year. This has to be the worst. Waste of money. I feel bad for the card stores that preordered cases and will be stick with it. Ud can’t get there crap together and put live cards in products. Pulled 5 redemptions out of 10 boxes wonder if I will ever see the cards. Redemption. City. There mass producing everything and charging more and can’t get sticker autos in the packs. There should be a limit on how many redemption allowed in products. Thanks for destroying the hobby upperdeck good luck next year.

Great with all hits, not so great to sell/trade the cards not needed for the collection.

All the other years have multiple (lesser than McDavid) hit rookies. It’s just that this year, there is a premium on the product due to the mceichel craze. This year’s other hit rookies (Panarin, Larkin, Domi) wouldn’t be a great return unless you hit all three or hit a low numbered parallel of one of them.

I don’t care too much for return on investment (but I still do), it is a nice bonus but never expected. Unfortunately I am an Oiler fan and won’t be selling that card anytime soon. I know this is highly unusual as what usually ends up happening is I sell the cards I don’t collect then buy overpriced Oilers on the secondary market.

The price point on this product is one I can swallow with regard to potential hits, just over $70 US is what I paid and I feel an average box can yield something close to that which is the main driver behind my rating.

Upper deck continues to under amaze. Laughable how the big online card dealers cut the price on junk like this at 5 to 10 bucks a box. They think everybody will then jump on it. LOL

Josh you say this years product is a crapshoot, like many other people say. So what are all the previous years with out McDavid? It’s been a crapshoot for decades.

IMO all this product is way over priced and not worth the money. It is all geared towards the “hit seeker”. They should be called gamblers not hit seekers. These boxes should all come with gambling warnings. I feel bad for parents who take their kids into hobby shops not knowing what they’re potentially getting them into.

Bottom line is we’re all throwing are money away. Buy to collect and don’t ever expect to get your money back, never going to happen.

It feels awesome to pull the card you want (and this is what upper deck wants). They want you to chase that high over and over again. It’s called addiction. I know people who make a great living and spend most of it on this crap. They say they make money but they don’t. Sounds a lot like a gambling addiction to me.

I just wish UD would price OPC accordingly so I could collect it. It has no value what so ever and 2 years after release it’s still too expensive and not worth buying.

I see a lot of people paid over $100 US a box for this. I got a box at my hobby shop for $94 CDN. Holy crap. I never expected a Connor McDavid 2 colour jersey autographed (on card) rookie card /199. The rest of the box was meh. I have said it before and I’ll say it again. This year’s product is a crapshoot. If no McDavid, you likely threw your money away. I gambled and got incredibly lucky.

I don’t even know where to start. AGAIN…..GARBAGE! What is WRONG with UD?? I feel like I’m being punished with these products for loving hockey! Throw CM Punk and Larry King in the mix and it’s not even hockey anymore! Who’s do these jersey/patches even belong to?? If I want to collect WWE, I’ll BUY WWE!! I was with a breaker that actually APOLOGIZED on behalf of this trash that they would no longer break it anymore it was THAT bad. If you do NOT redeem yourself with SPA/ICE/Premier and The Cup, kiss a LOT of money away. I will not spend ONE MORE CENT of my hard earned money with any more of this absolute JUNK. Hire someone with at least half a brain to come up with some new and exciting concepts, or your company is in for a WORLD of hurt after the McDavid craze is gone. For the love of GOD everyone — avoid this like the plague doesn’t even describe it. It’s NEGATIVE 5 stars. And that’s being generous.

cant imagine spending this kind of cash and getting squatted on with that kind of break….. just criminal.

Watched a lot of breaks and as in all UD products of 2015-16 if you don’t hit Mcjesus or Erkel then you might as well throw your money out the window. At $69.99 canadian it would be ok but even that price will not be attained for another 2 years before the other products get released of 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Not a big fan of this. Very disappointed overall as this product had potential.
Pros: I like the card design a lot, that’s it.
Cons: price ($140CAD/box) – very little value for that price as only 4 packs and “hits” are sticker autos and one colour jersey swatches. If there were more than 4 packs per box I could see this product being on par with artifacts. As it is now, not worth the money. Also, the “fans of the game” cards are a ridiculous concept, just a way to cram more fake “memorabilia” into a product as a selling point. Seems overtly geared towards the gambler/case breaker crowd as rookie heavy and of course they put in the one good “hit” per master case to chase.

This won’t sell at all next year with a weaker rookie class, not unless they give you more for your money as this would be a nice set to collect if it didn’t cost an arm and a leg.

*Jim. It’s your right to have an opinion, but why saying that all the other people are wrong and you’re right? Now frankly, you’re the only one who gave a 4 stars to the product. All the other gave 1 or 2. The product is not bad, but it’s not worth more than a big maximum of 70US. And even then I would think twice before I would buy it. A product with a missing team from the base set and cards of fans who are not even wearing a hockey jerseys in the pictures is very far from a 4 stars in my humble opinion.

I don’t mean to come off as trolling but this set is so very boring�.and the cherry on top being that this is another UD overpriced product. I truly think Upper Deck could have omitted this product from their lineup this season � if you’re debating buying a box � a more solid investment would be to allocate those funds on a box of SPA when it’s released. I sat through 5 case breaks of Contours lastnight and there was a juggernaut McDavid hit but the rest was meh. That’s pretty well been the storyline of 15-16 UD products so far this year � in my opinion that is. I want Panini back :(

Plus forgot to mention this product is over produced , why and how is simple Blue Cards numbered 499 on average 1 card per box thers 100 cards in the set times that by 499 =49900 boxes so with all other cards your are looking atleast a production run of 5000 to 6000 full cases of 16 boxes. thus 10000 8box inner cases, heck this is no different from some the 1990s products that said back then limited to 10000 cases.

Wow just a below average product. Seen a few wax boxes opened before the release date today and thank god I had not pre ordered this new hockey product. On another note what was upper deck design team who printed this stuff to put Non Hockey sport cards in this product such WWE or better yet Mr. Larry King jersey. Plus just seen on ebay a McDavid Patch card looks like part of the number 8 but Connor McDavid wears 97 so go figure where the Upper Deck design team was on that idea.
4 packs for 130.00 to 150.00 to get below average hits not worth it at all. You are better off to buy the cards straight off Flee Bay then to open wax boxes/case

It’s not as bad as these people are saying. It’s only $103 US per box here. Okay, 4 packs per box, but it’s not super high end, but quality is good. I like it. Bought 4 boxes

Wow! this might actually be worse then SPX! The Fanatics inserts are a joke! except for Smith, they don’t even show them in the jersey!! total disconnect! No reason for this product to exist. The exclusive is crippling the hobby. That won’t last much longer. UD has mailed in another product.

Oh my god! Really 120$ per box?? Are you kidding me? This product is useless. It’s way, way overpriced. Avoid like plague!

only 29 Teams in the NHL? …guess the Sabres don’t count (not even Eichel can save Buffalo in the group breaks)

I will not buy this product. I am a Buffalo Sabre fan, just Eichel in set!
