2014 Wax Eye Stupid Heroes pokes fun at the super heroes that have become one of the cornerstones of modern pop culture. They're created in a similar vein as Garbage Pail Kids. In fact, many of the same creative minds are working on the project.

The base set has a total of 110 cards. However, like Garbage Pail Kids, it's split between A and B variations. In a nutshell, it's 55 different designs each with two name versions. Card fronts feature comical artwork of the featured hero. Some are obvious jabs at familiar characters from the Marvel and DC Universes. Others are more spoofs at life in general. Card backs give the character a background and brief bio to help fill out the satirical world the cards inhabit.

The artwork and text come from artists who have worked on parody projects like Garbage Pail Kids. All four have work extensively on the Garbage Pail Kids and Wacky Packages lines in recent years.

Sketch cards lead the chase, although they're rather tough to find landing 1:8 boxes.

Besides the main 2014 Wax Eye Stupid Heroes set, there will be a handful of digital cards that won't be printed. Rather, they'll be made available online for sharing and passing around. Exclusive online comics will be offered to those who share the digital cards.
