2014-15 Panini Immaculate Basketball Sneak Peek Gallery and Price Tracker

One could argue that a basketball player's jersey shows what they play for but it's their sneakers that show their personality. When it comes to cards, jerseys have been covered extensively, especially over the last decade. But shoes are one piece of memorabilia that hasn't been done a lot, especially when it comes to going beyond basic swatches. The 2014-15 Panini Immaculate Basketball Sneak Peek inserts, now in their sophomore year, are anything but basic swatches.

The rare cards are the shoe equivalent to a massive patch swatch. Immaculate Sneak Peek cards bring large sneaker pieces that are taken from key parts of the shoe. Logos, tags, signatures are some of the instantly recognizable pieces embedded in the cards. Add in the stitching and texture and you've got some cards that might actually warrant hyperbolic adjectives like sick and nasty. Would anyone not love to own the actual old-school Reebok Pump logo from a pair of Shaq-worn sneakers?

All of the 2014-15 Panini Immaculate Basketball Sneak Peek cards are hand-numbered 1/1. That said, players do have multiple cards. Panini posted a large gallery on The Knight's Lance, their blog, showcasing a lot of the cards prior to being numbered. However, it does look as though there are more that what's shown there.

The checklist has 25 players, ranging from rookie Andrew Wiggins to retired Hall of Famers like Shaquille O'Neal and Julius Erving. Shoes used in Sneak Peek are labelled as being game-used.

Given their unique approach, limited numbers, crossover appeal with sneaker collectors and the high cost of 2014-15 Panini Immaculate Basketball boxes, don't expect to find any of the Sneak Peeks cheap on the secondary market. Most early listings on eBay have sellers asking five-figures.
