2013 Tristar TNA Impact Live wrestling cards continue with the manufacturer's focus on hits. It also helps promote the wrestling promotion's renewed focus on hitting the road for more house shows and television tapings.
Every 2013 Tristar TNA Impact Live hobby guarantees three autographs, all numbered to 99 or less. One of the autographs features two or more signers. This is the first set that Tristar has offered TNA cards with 10 and 12 signatures. More than 40 wrestlers and TNA personalities have signatures in the set, including Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy and Sting. Randomly inserted Printing Plates all have at least one autograph.
Hobby boxes also come with one event-worn memorabilia card numbered to 199 or less. These include jumbo swatches, quads and autographed memorabilia cards. Special Jeff Hardy Letter Cards have display windows cut out in the letters of his last name. The swatches on these cards come from shirts that have designs drawn by Hardy.
The 2013 Tristar TNA Impact Live base set includes more than just basic profile cards. Four corners includes thoughts from Hardy on other wrestlers. Then & Now show pictures of wrestlers from when they were kids. TNA's Sam Shaw offers caricature cards, giving a cartoon look at top TNA stars. Wrestlers who recently debuted with TNA get a special mark on their base cards. These include international MMA star King Mo and Chavo Guerrero. Hobby boxes include two parallels numbered to 50 or less and one short print.
To really carry the "Live" theme, 2013 Tristar TNA Impact Live includes redemptions good for free tickets to live TV tapings.

2013 Tristar TNA Impact Live Wrestling Product Review

Good: Nice base card design that focuses solely on the wrestler featured. Cartoon subset cards. Jumbo swatches on memorabilia cards. Multi-autographs are plentiful, falling one per box. Redemption cards for free tickets to a live TNA taping.
Bad: Sticker autographs again. No base card of Mickie James, one of my favorites. Too many 4 Corners subset cards. The parallel cards are hard to spot due to the dark background since the only difference is the gold on the Live logo.
The Bottom Line: 2013 Tristar TNA Impact Wrestling Live is a mid-level wrestling product that guarantees three autographs (with one multi-autograph), one memorabilia card, one short print card, and two parallels per box. With the guarantee of one multi-autograph card, this product can boast some really nice results including quad-, six-, eight-, ten-, and even 12-autograph iterations.
Card Design: 4.5/5.0
The base cards have no borders and focus solely on the featured wrestler. There is a ton of empty space in the background, but mainly consists of the wrestling ring, arena lights, or wrestling fans in the stands. The subset cards do not deviate much from the regular base card designs. The Sam Shaw short print cards are hilarious. They feature cartoon like sketches of wrestlers.
Autograph cards are stickers, but do look extremely nice in person. The cards feature a flaming fire on the left and right side of the card that makes for a cool effect. Memorabilia cards in this release feature Jeff Hardy letter swatches and jumbo patches, which is better than the plain basic swatches in prior releases.

The 2013 Tristar TNA Impact Wrestling Live checklist consists of 99 cards in the base set including ten short print cards. There are too many subset cards in this release. In particular, I wasn't a fan of the 4 corners cards. Certain wrestlers like Mickie James only have a subset card. There are several TNA debut cards of wrestlers that recently joined TNA but none of them are high-profile. TNA also parted ways with several well-known wrestlers in 2012, the biggest omission being Ric Flair.
Value: 5.0/5.0
Each hobby box has 20 packs of six cards, which is the same configuration as the past pair Tristar TNA releases. With so many autographs, a memorabilia card and other inserts, this is a low-risk, high-reward product. The main selling point is the hit, especially the multi-signed autographs. What other product can give you a chance to pull a card signed by eight, ten or even 12 wrestlers?
The Fun Factor: 5.0/5.0
2013 Tristar TNA Impact Wrestling Live should appeal to a wide range of wrestling card collectors. The base cards capture some cool storylines such as Sting's Hall of Fame induction and the debut of Aces & Eights. The autograph cards look extremely nice. Tristar did a better job here than their last wrestling release, TENacious.
