2013 Topps MLB Sticker Collection leaves the frills and gimmicks behind. About as straightforward as you can get, the set is designed for young collectors, families and those looking for a simple kick of nostalgia.

The set has 315 stickers, mixing current and retired stars. Mascots and team logos also appear. Packs of eight stickers should be around a dollar.

The 2013 Topps MLB Sticker Collection also has a 32-page album. Featuring full-color images, there's a page for every team. The San Francisco Giants' run at the World Series is also part of the highlights in a section dedicated to the postseason. Albums also come with six stickers to get collectors started.

Sticker boxes come with 50 packs. Albums come in boxes of 12.

For many collectors, stickers are what got them into collecting. They're easy to accumulate, cheap and fun to put in the album. This is the third consecutive year Topps has produced a set of baseball stickers.

Product Review

2013 Topps MLB Sticker Collection Product Review

Reviewed by Jeremy Sebastian

Good: Impressive mix of current players, young stars, Hall of Famers, mascots, and team logos. All teams are well-represented.

Bad: No hits, inserts or parallels.

The Bottom Line: This is a product aimed at the younger crowd. The team logo stickers turned out great, and it's nice that each team has either a retired superstar, a mascot or both.

Staff Rating:
4.4 / 5.0

Card Design: 5.0/5.0

The regular player stickers have a nice look to them. The San Francisco Giants World Series team is honored with a foil sticker puzzle. The team stickers, which are done in foil, look great and really pop.

Checklist: 5.0/5.0

2013 Topps MLB Sticker Collection has an excellent checklist. Each team has nine players in this set, including retired superstars and mascots. Each team gets its own page in the album, which makes for a nice flow and overview of the game's best players.

Value: 2.5/5.0

As a basic sticker set, there are no inserts or hit cards in this product. Understandably, there is minimal resale value. That said, stickers have never been aimed much at the secondary market.

The Fun Factor: 5.0/5.0

This product is the definition of fun. Sticker books are available for storing and organizing the many stickers. Between mascots and team logos, there is enough variety so that the product does not become monotonous. Team logos even have their own spread in the middle of the album. The San Francisco Giants World Series Champion puzzle is a nice bonus at the end of the set.

So far, to me, it is an incredible product. I remember collecting stickers when I was younger. I can’t wait for this product to come out. It will be like Panini stickers in 1996. I tried to get that whole collection. Maybe these should be done more than some of the more expensive products, but some of those products do yield some pretty nice hits.

That is almost exactly the same product as the 2012 version–the wavy color at the bottom that is. Further…that actually is the exact same Musial photo that was used on the 2012 sticker. Just a lazy product.
