2013 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Details
Upper Deck is bringing back National Hockey Card Day in February in both Canada and the United States.
Collectors can head to any participating shops and get free packs of cards. The event takes place in Canada on February 9. American collectors have to wait a week as their National Hockey Card Day is February 16, which coincides with Hockey Weekend in America.
Like last year, each country has its own unique set. The Canadian checklist includes 15 cards, all of which feature players in Team Canada uniforms. A 16th card of Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux at the 1987 Canada Cup is available with a purchase.
Select Toys 'R Us and London Drugs stores in Canada will also be in on the promotion, offering one of five different over-sized cards with purchase.
The American set also has 15 main cards that are inserted in packs. The checklist includes a mix of top American stars and other top players who play for American NHL teams. The 16th card, which is available with a purchase, shows Kings goalie, Jonathan Quick, with the Stanley Cup.
2013 Upper Deck National Hockey Card Day packs come with five cards. Collectors can also look for randomly inserted autographs.
