Product Details
2013 Leaf Masterworks is the first product dedicated solely to autographed art cards. Every card in the release comes with an original painting or sketch that is complimented by a signature from the depicted athlete. Boxes come with three such cards.
Leaf has included similar products in other releases like 2013 Leaf Pop Century and 2013 Leaf Best of Hockey. However, 2013 Leaf Masterworks is the only one so far to revolve around the high-end card style. Because of the use of original artwork, each can be seen as a one-of-one. Even cards showing the same player could look completely different given the range of styles among those contributing to the set.
Across the entire production run, no player has more than 20 cards. Featured athletes come from several sports and include a mix of all-time greats and top young players. Cal Ripken Jr, Nolan Ryan, Greg Maddux, Gordie Howe, Joe Montana, Barry Sanders, Larry Bird and Mike Tyson are some of the names in the set.
Every card in 2013 Leaf Masterworks come in a magnetic one-touch holder to ensure it's safe.
