2012 Topps Tier One Bat Knob Guide

2012 Topps Tier One Bat Knob Guide

2012 Topps Tier One Bat Knob Guide 1Easily one of the most distinct insert sets of the year, 2012 Topps Tier One Bat Knob cards have the entire end of a game-used bat. While these sorts of cards have been around for years, they've never been done to the same extent. The 100-card checklist mixes all-time greats with current stars. And while some names are bigger than others, there isn't any real duds.

Although all one-of-ones, the large checklist gives them something of a chase element. Individually, it's very unlikely a collector will find the exact card they're looking for in a pack. Collectively, though, the 2012 Topps Tier One Bat Knob cards are plentiful enough that some may be willing to roll the dice on pulling one.

Below you'll find lists of 2012 Topps Tier One Bat Knob cards currently listed on eBay, closed sales and other confirmed pulls. It is our goal to document all that are found and build a resource for this set. It is likely that many of these cards won't surface publicly as they will go straight into personal collections. However, if you know someone who finds one or we're missing any, please send us an email and we'll be happy to add it to the list.

How many bat knobs have NOT been found??

Lee C (ID 56532) » Our list is in need of a major update. It is impossible to know exactly how many are left in packs as not all will surface online or on the secondary market. I do believe most of the biggest have now been found, including Babe Ruth.

Michael Harper (ID 44739) » Not yet that I’ve seen or heard of. But it may have and someone didn’t broadcast it.

There was a Jason Heyward pulled Friday night on BlogTv. I can get you the info for the video if needed, or if you havent already caught wind of it. Keep up the good work. Josh

Thanks for the heads-up.

Hi from Mark, great site. I got a kick out of you stating that Tier One Bat Knobs would not surface publicly. Are you kidding? They hit EBAY The second they are pulled! Thanks for the laugh. Regards – Mark

Mark Kreutzer (ID 43551) » Not all of them do. For example, the person who has the DiMaggio just emailed me the photo. It had already exchanged hands in a private sale. Even today, lots of trading still happens off of eBay, even for big-ticket items such as these.
