2012 Topps Five Star Football Rookie Card Guide

2012 Topps Five Star Football Rookie Card Guide

2012 Topps Five Star Football boasts some of the most high-end rookie cards of the year. Each comes with both an on-card autograph and player-worn patch swatch. The cards also come serial numbered. For many top players, 2012 Topps Five Star Football has the rarest rookies of the year.

The 2012 Topps Five Star Football checklist has 35 players. Running from numbers 151 through 190, there are a few holes. Cards 154, 179, 186,187 and 189 do not exist. There is just one redemption card, but its a big one -- Robert Griffin III.

Like last year, 2012 Topps Five Star Football rookie cards are available in differing quantities. They run from a low of just 50 copies to a high of 300. The range in 2011 Topps Five Star Football ran from 65 up to 199.

Each 2012 Topps Five Star Football rookie card has three parallels, each of which have a jumbo swatch: Gold (#/55), Rainbow (#/25) and Five Star (1/1). That means in some instances, the Gold parallel is more plentiful than the base card. Besides the serial number, a quick way to tell a base rookie card from a parallel is the shape of the relic window. Base rookie cards come with a circular swatch. Parallels have a longer piece that's somewhat like a ribbon.

Below is a detailed checklist of all the rookie cards, including print run info. Following that is an image gallery of the entire set.

Today, he continues to build sets, go after inserts with cool technologies, chase Montreal Expos and finish off his John Jaha master collection.
