2012 Panini Father's Day Cards First with Andrew Luck and RG3 in Pro Uniforms

Collectors can expect no shortage of Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III rookie cards this year. But there's still something about getting the first cards. Although 2012 Bowman Football has official rookies, they weren't shown in their pro uniforms. The 2012 Panini Father's Day promo set is the first to do so.

Although Panini had hoped that shops wouldn't start distributing the special Father's Day packs until Saturday, many have already been listed on eBay. Among them are cards of Luck on the field in his Indianapolis Colts uniform and Griffin tossing with his Redskins jersey on.

These in-uniform cards are Rookie inserts in the 2012 Panini Father's Day set. Numbered to 499, they are printed on foil stock. Besides Luck and RG3, other football players in the multi-sport insert set include Ryan Tannehill, Trent Richardson, Justin Blackmon and Michael Floyd. The set has Cracked Ice parallels. Although not numbered, they are limited to 25 copies. An Andrew Luck autograph has also surfaced.

Luck and Griffin are also featured in other parts of the 2012 Panini Father's Day set, although not in their pro uniforms.
