Top 10 James Bond Autographed Trading Cards

With more than 20 movies and counting, a global audience and one of the broadest fanbases in the history of pop culture, James Bond is bigger than Hollywood. Over the years, particularly in the last decade, the hobby has seen literally hundreds of different James Bond autograph cards.

Rittenhouse has been delivering a steady stream of James Bond trading cards since 2002. Most of those sets have been heavy on signatures. For example, James Bond 50th Anniversary Series 1 and Series 2 both have three autographs in every box. Their signature lineups span the history of the franchise's films. Most of the major players who are still alive have signed at some point. There are some big exceptions (cough, Sean Connery), but most any 007 fan should be pleased with what's currently available.

With so many different signers, obviously, some are more desired than others. Generally speaking, the chauffeurs and bartenders appeal to only the most diehard Bond collectors. On the other hand, the actors who have carried the license to kill, the key villains and the Bond girls all have a broader appeal. As a result, there are lots of James Bond autographs that can command hundreds of dollars.

Here is a list of the ten best James Bond autographs. While value plays a major role, their importance to the Bond franchise and appeal outside of the films also comes into play. These ten actors command the biggest prices on the secondary market. Because they're key players, values should also hold, even if they have more Bond autographs in the future.

For each actor, we've listed all the James Bond autograph cards they have. Even though they have multiple autographs, Rittenhouse uses three different designs in their sets. This enables collectors to easily go after one autograph from a particular actor or chase a particular design.

1. Daniel Craig as James Bond

When Daniel Craig decides his time as Bond is done, he may go down as the best 007 in history. He's helped reinvent the spy and make him appeal to modern audiences. It should come as little surprise, then, that Daniel Craig autographs are moving very briskly. It didn't take long for Rittenhouse to land the lead actor. He made his first autograph appearance in 2010 Rittenhouse Heroes and Villains.

2. Pierce Brosnan as James Bond

Pierce Brosnan's turn as James Bond was adequate. For the most part, the films he appeared in were not. Even still, Brosnan's mainstream appeal makes him one of the top options for James Bond autograph collectors. It took a long time for him to finally get on board. However, that no longer matters because Rittenhouse did convince him. The result is a very valuable autograph -- one that goes for more than most current superstars from the sports card realm.

3. Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder

Not only is Ursula Andress the original Bond girl, she's also one of most memorable. The combination of her franchise legacy and the rarity of both her autographs has left Andress as one of the key signatures for James Bond collectors.

4. Halle Berry as Jinx Johnson

There had been rumors of Halle Berry, a legitimate Hollywood A-lister, signing trading cards in the past. However, they never came to be. Finally, Rittenhouse was able to get the Academy Award winner to sign as a part of their second 50th anniversary set. With draw well beyond James Bond, it instantly became one of the franchise's most valuable autographed trading cards. It should remain that way unless the rumored Jinx spinoff comes to fruition.

5. Roger Moore as James Bond

Although some of his Bond films were over-the-top, Roger Moore is still regarded as one of the better 007s. He was also the first to lend his autograph to a Bond-themed trading card set. Since then, Moore hasn't shied away from signing cards. Although his cards are tough to come by individually, he has appeared in enough sets now that at any given time, several should be available. Besides single-signed cards, Moore has also been on dual autographs with fellow Bond, George Lazenby and Richard Kiel, who played the iconic henchman, Jaws.

6. Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore

Noticed a pattern yet? Bond and Bond girls seem to get the most love from collectors. Honor Blackman joins Ursula Andress as one of the most iconic. She's also got one of the most memorable names in Bond history. And that's saying a lot. Despite a growing number of sets with her signatures, collectors still seem enchanted by Pussy Galore (if you're sitting in the office, you may not want to read that last sentence out loud).

7. Joe Don Baker as Jack Ward

Joe Don Baker is one of only a handful of actors to play different roles in different Bond films. He played the villainous Brad Whitake in The Living Daylights. Perhaps because few went to see it, Baker returned to the franchise in Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies as Jack Ward, a CIA agent.

8. Carey Lowell as Pam Bouvier

Did you know Carey Lowell starred in a short-lived TV series based on A League of Their Own? Me neither. She also spent several seasons on Law & Order. The combination of he Bond girl status, success outside of the series and rare signature make Lowell's autograph cards very popular.

9. Gemma Arterton as Agent Fields

One of the most recent ladies of Bond, Gemma Arterton is considered one of cinema's "it girls." She's got the potential to become a Hollywood superstar. That is, if she avoids things like Prince of Persia. Should the young beauty find greater fame, hopefully her eloquent autograph won't become a thing of the past.

10. Famke Janssen as Xenia Onatopp

Despite having three different James Bond autographs, Famke Janssen is still an elusive find.It doesn't hurt that she's a current actress with roles in other blockbusters, most notably as Jean Grey in the original X-Men trilogy.
