2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball Variation Short Prints Guide
Out of bounds -- that's the theme of the 2013 Topps Series 1 Baseball variation short prints. The 25 cards capture players trying to make defensive plays either at the fence or in foul territory.
Many of the poses are awkward, definitely not the type of thing that's normally shown on baseball cards. But the "Out of Bounds" theme also offers a different perspective on the game.

Are the Trout and Harper SP’s worth $80 each? That’s what your friends Brett and Becca are opening their bids at. I’d call the attorney general on them if they are overcharging. Do they even have one yet? What a disgrace. Even 20 bucks for the Pujols,

dhenry9999 » They’re in retail pack, which are widely available already. Hobby is out tomorrow. Like all cards, they’re worth what anyone is willing to pay. Often, sellers test the market when something comes out. If they don’t sell, prices drop. Last year, some of the SPs were selling for much more than $80 when they first came out.

I really like some of the photos they chose here, but, why is Trout’s not his spectacular catch from last year? I would want that just for the photo.

ON THE 2013 TOPPS BASEBALL,,,,WHY ISNT JOSE REYES NOT LISTED AS A SHORT PRINT…HE IN A TORONTO UNIFORM AND WAS TRADED TO THERE ON THE OFF SEASON

KEVIN » It is NOT a short print. Topps was able to airbrush him into a Blue Jays uniform and get him into the set in time. There is also no #7 so a complete set is 330 cards.

#316 Josh Reddick – out of bounds – is this one not a short print?
Ryan Cracknell | Feb 13, 2013 | Reply
No. It is a base card and not a short print. It’s kind of confusing since the variations take on the theme but there are still a few similar photos in the base set.

Got Freddie Freeman variation along with his regular card in a retail pack from Target. Looks like the regular card is him running for the foul ball he catches in the variation. Also had three chasing history refractors , first ones I’ve seen.
