2008 Football Cards
In 2008, the Pittsburgh Steelers were Super Bowl Champions, narrowly beating the Arizona Cardinals, who were lead by Kurt Warner. With Ben Roethlisberger at the helm, the Steelers added their second title in four seasons. On the flip side, the Detroit Lions made NFL history by becoming the first team to ever post an 0-16 record. The third overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons, Matt Ryan, was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year, cementing his spot as the top rookie option for 2008.
Outside of Matt Ryan, several other players caught the attention of collectors, most notably, Joe Flacco. Other popular rookie options include Flacco’s teammate, Ray Rice, as well as Jamaal Charles, Darren McFadden, Chris Johnson, and Matt Forte.
