San Francisco Giants Rookie Card Guide – 2012 World Series Edition

The San Francisco Giants are World Series Champions for the second time in three years. Both times they've done it with a roster that's made up largely of players largely ignored by the hobby. Save for Buster Posey and, maybe, Pablo Sandoval, the Giants don't have any big-time superstars carrying them. Matt Cain and Hunter Pence have a core group of followers, but they still haven't taken the hobby by storm. Tim Lincecum is something of an enigma, struggling through the regular season and largely relegated to the Giants' bullpen in the playoffs.

For Giants fans, collecting their team's postseason starting lineup is largely inexpensive and fairly straightforward. Most of the squad only has a handful of rookie cards. Few have autographs or short prints that can sometimes complicate matters. Outside of Posey, most San Francisco Giants rookie cards can be found for very little. One that collectors may want to watch is the 2008 Topps Heritage Pablo Sandoval. It's the third baseman's only official rookie card. It may not be limited, but if Sandoval comes through in the clutch, demand will far exceed supply as everyone will be chasing the same card.

Here's a comprehensive look at the rookie cards for the San Francisco Giants' starters and rotation. It includes all the rookie cards for every player. You can easily shop for the players' rookies by clicking on their name. We've also linked directly to the most popular cards.
