The NHL rookie elite are in Toronto for the 2011 NHLPA Rookie Showcase, which kicked off yesterday. Much like the NFL Players Rookie Premiere, the event is staged to showcase the incoming rookie class. It gives Upper Deck and Panini the opportunity to take photographs for upcoming sets, get signatures for hockey cards and gather memorabilia pieces. The two-day event began on Monday with the signing portion. It concludes today with live-action photos, studio images and interviews.
