The Sandlot is one of the most beloved baseball movies of all-time. If that wasn't reason enough to head out and buy the new 20th Anniversary Blu-ray, perhaps a good old-fashioned premium will. For a limited time, the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack also includes a set of ten exclusive baseball cards.
The giveaway isn't marked anywhere on the packaging. They're inserted loosely inside the case, tightly shrink-wrapped together. You'll want to be careful taking the wrap off. If you tear it too quickly, you may damage the corners.
The cards have a character image from the waist up cast against a red circle. Their name is in a blue ribbon with a quote underneath. Card backs are, unfortunately, all the same, featuring the DVD cover art.
The Sandlot has been released several times already. The version with the cards has a distinct design that includes a slip case that resembles an embossed baseball. It's also clearly marked as being the 20th Anniversary Edition.
The set includes both the movie on Blu-ray as well as a double-sided DVD that has widescreen and full-screen versions. There isn't much in the way of other special features other than a featurette and the trailer. But it's The Sandlot and baseball cards together.
