Part of the Stranger Things Day releases, the 2022 Zerocool Stranger Things Butcher Billy Artist Series set includes illustration cards from the artist along with Upside Down lenticular cards.
The Blaster-style boxes are exclusive to the Netflix Shop. While other Zerocool products have been sold in a "blind auction" format, these have an official retail price ($50 per box). Total production is reported to be 11,111 boxes.
Topps originally produced Stranger Things cards, but Zerocool (a Fanatics brand) took over in 2022, including the release of Season 4 promo cards at the National Sports Collectors Convention.
2022 Zerocool Stranger Things Butcher Billy Set Details
Mixing three distinct styles, 2022 Zerocool Stranger Things Butcher Billy Artist Series features a run of exclusive cards.
Artist Butcher Billy lends his talent via 14 illustration cards displaying poster artwork in the standard trading card size. In addition to limited foilboard parallels, look for Preliminary Art Variant (#/86) and autographed Butcher Billy Silver Rainbow (#/11) cards.
Covering nine characters, The Party Lenticular set applies card technology that can be rotated to reveal different images from Season 4.
There are also 18 standard Character cards to collect with six foilboard parallels. These cards feature the same lineup and same images as the NSCC promo. However, the backs are entirely different.
While the Billy Butcher Art cards and Character cards note 2022 in the copyright section on the back of the cards, the Lenticular cards show 2023.
