The limited image swaps highlight a few of the biggest names from the 2019-20 NBA Draft class, including Zion Willamson and Ja Morant.
2019-20 Panini Mosaic Basketball Variations Details
Led by Willamson and Morant, the short-printed 2019-20 Panini Mosaic variations offer different photos from the main 2019-20 Panini Mosaic Basketball set.
The cards appear to follow the blueprint from the 2019-20 Prizm NBA variations. Like Prizm, the base Mosaic variations are exclusive to the Hanger Box format at various retail locations.
There are also the exclusive Fast Break versions with a disco-style background pattern.
Although nothing on the card identities it as a short-printed variation, these cards don't have parallels, which further distinguishes them from the base cards that offer a ton of colorful Mosaics. Of course, the most obvious differences are the photographs, which can all be seen below.
The NBA Debut subset cards are not variations. They are just another option with a different card number in the base set for the first-year players. It seems to be Panini's version of the Rookie Debut cards that Topps has in its flagship MLB set.
