Celebrating the many years of Topps Baseball, and, of course, its various designs, 2016 Topps Archives 65th Anniversary Edition Baseball covers all prior years in one retrospective set. Exclusive to Walmart locations, every box contains one autograph.
Totaling 65 cards, one for each flagship release since 1952 Topps, the base set revisits the past. Parallels include Green Back (#/150), Red Back (#/50), and Black Back (1/1). In addition, collectors can find ten Rookie Variations, featuring 2016 rookies on a retro design, and ten Short Prints that substitute a retired player into a different set design than their standard base card. The easiest way to distinguish these is based on the card number.
The main 2016 Topps Archives 65th Anniversary Edition Baseball set is also showcased with an Autograph version for the base cards. Limited parallels include Green Back (#/99), Red Back (#/25), Black Back (1/1) and Printing Plates (1/1). Signed versions for the Rookie Variations and Base Short Prints are also an option.
Although these are all reprint or throwback cards, actual Buybacks from across the Topps history are randomly inserted, as well. This includes stamped Bull Durham inserts.
