The 2015 Panini Clear Vision Football set relies heavily on acetate and the end result is solid. While many more 2015 football products will be released over the next year, the Clear Vision base cards should remain a popular budget option, especially for rookie card collectors.
One notable difference between that veteran and rookie short prints is that the rookie players also have parallels for their variation cards. This includes the same options as the base set with Blue (#/99), Red (#/25), Gold (#/10), Green (#/5) and Purple (1/1) parallels.
In general, the veteran variations are easy to distinguish because the photos showcase different jersey colors for each. However, the rookie cards are little more confusing since the only difference with the image is the pose.
While the image differences are generally the most obvious thing to spot, the most consistent way to tell the 2015 Panini Clear Vision Football variations apart from the base set is the background design. This is especially true for the rookie cards. The base version, shown on the left below for Jameis Winston, utilizes a thicker design with straight lines and the variation on the right features a thinner lined design with ridges.
It is important to note that several of the veteran and retired players also have Rookie ReVision subset cards in the base set that include images from their rookie season. These are not part of the short prints shown below.
