With the Garbage Pail Kids gang reaching middle age, they're branching out into some new areas. One of the biggest is a series of comics through a partnership between Topps and IDW Publishing. In addition to traditional comics, there are also 2015 IDW Garbage Pail Kids Micro Comic Fun Packs. Not only do these include a book to read, but several other GPK-themed extras including cards.
Leading each Garbage Pail Kids Micro Comic Fun Pack is a 24-page comic that includes stories and other content. They're a little more disgusting thanks to scratch 'n sniff covers.
Fun Packs also come with three additional items: a sticker card, a poster and a pop-out standee. A complete set has eight stickers, eight posters and eight standees.
Prior to Garbage Pail Kids Micro Comic Fun Packs, IDW has done a handful of similar items for different licenses. These include My Little Pony, Skylanders and Transformers.
