What's not to love about giant robots taking on deadly aliens? 2014 Cryptozoic Pacific Rim trading cards tackle the international blockbuster. Originally planned to be a traditional release, it shifted to being a premium factory set of sorts, delivering a pair of key autographs, seven costume cards and a binder.
While there are just two autographs in the product, they're two of the biggest names from the film. The first is lead star Charlie Hunnam who also has an autograph in Cryptozoic's first Sons of Anarchy set. Ron Perlman, a SOA co-star of Hunnam's, is the second signature. Perlman plays Hannibal Chau in the film.
Hunnam's character in Pacific Rim, Raleigh Becket, is also on one of the Wardrobe Cards that have a costume swatch embedded in them. Others include Rinko Kikuchi (Mako), Robert Kazinsky (Chuck Hansen), Charlie Day (Dr. Newt Geiszler), and the Luu triplets (Wei triplets).
Rounding out the release is a binder. Seeing as how there's just nine cards in the product, collectors may want to use it to house similar sets.
