It didn't take long for collectors to notice that the 2013 Panini Elite Football Rookie Inscriptions autographs came with different color signatures. Were they short prints? How many are there? Some speculated, but the official info wasn't public. Until now.

While many of the Rookie Inscriptions ink variations are short prints, the colors aren't consistent across the entire 39-card checklist. So just going by color isn't the route to go.

2013 Panini Elite Football Rookie Inscriptions have four basic autograph colors: blue, black, green and red. Here's a sample of four different ink variations:

From what I have read and information given to me by other collectors, Panini “Inscriptions” are a very difficult card to pull. A few weeks ago I pulled a Tyler Eifert red auto Inscriptions. I was extremely shocked when I pulled the same card of Eifert with a black auto. As a collector, I know how hard it is to get a big hit. But to be able to pull the same card with a different ink variation was a exciting and interesting occurrence!
