Despite a possible lockout looming, the NHL Players' Association is getting ready for the 2012 NHLPA Rookie Showcase. Happening on August 28 in Toronto, the event will see 30 of the game's top prospects participate.
Panini and Upper Deck will both be on hand. EA Sports will also be there to take photos to be used in NHL 13.
Like the recent NBA Rookie Photo Shoot and the NFL Players Rookie Premiere, the NHLPA Rookie Showcase will go a long way in shaping the year's sets. It gives both card makers a chance to gather autographs, memorabilia and jerseys that can be used on cards.
