With only two 2012-13 NBA products remaining, Panini is clearly hoping to go out with a bang, and 2012-13 Flawless Basketball has caught the attention of the hobby. The ultra-premium product runs around $1,500 for a 10-card box, with every card numbered to 25 or less. Actually, calling it a box might be selling it short, since the cards come in a metal briefcase. While there was initial outrage at the cost of the product, there has been a strong buzz for this luxury collectible.
Diamond and Emerald Base Cards
Collectors are promised one base card per box and each card includes an embedded diamond piece, numbered to 20. Parallels include emeralds (#/5) and a diamond one-of-one parallel.
Autographed Cards
Including both autographed cards and autographed memorabilia cards, the refined design showcases on-card signatures and very low print runs. The product is already being compared to early Exquisite Basketball releases, and the Flawless design will increase those comparisons.
