Upper Deck is pushing this year's NFL rookie crop in 2011 SP Authentic Football despite the fact they do not carry an NFL license. The set, which depicts players in their college threads, is a split of new and old designs. In particular, collectors can expect the 1998 SP Future Watch design on half of the base set. The SPx brand returns, this time as an insert. Two SPx packs will be found in every 12-box case with each SPx pack promising a Rookie Auto Jersey card. 2011 SP Authentic Football boxes have three hits including one SP Rookie Auto Patch and one USA Football Autograph or Future Swatch memorabilia card.
