After re-debuting under the Panini umbrella last year, 2011-12 Pinnacle Hockey sees a tweaked formula that keep the things collectors love while adding value with a large number of rarer hits. Boxes promise two memorabilia cards, five basic inserts, one parallel and four short printed rookie cards. This alone doesn't offer a lot of value, but when you start looking at the case breakdowns, the bang becomes a little clearer. Two out of every three boxes have an autograph. Every box should also have one or two additional inserts from much rarer sets like Canvas Creations, Pinnacle Revolution, Team Pinnacle and the returning Pinnacle Captains. One of the original celebrity-focused autograph programs, Fans of the Game, brings several new signers including the Hanson Brothers from the beloved classic Slap Shot.
